I'm Reiven, female, 23 years young and of Asian/Dutch descent. I live in Malaysia, where the only thing hotter than the surrounding temperature is the food.

In this day and age, where the Malay boys revere skinny jeans, army boots and (in a completely uninformed and stupid manner) the swastika; the Chinese immitate characters of Final Fantasy and all the girls dress the same, I wear bellbottoms with platforms heels and large hoop earrings. It's astounding how tastes of the age defer, isn't it? Groovy.

I've lived in Malaysia for all of (nearly) 23 years of my young life, speak the language fluently and have a bond with Malaysian food even closer than the relationship I have with my parents. Some people say I look Caucasian, some people say I look Chinese and others don't really care either way, but when it comes to grub, I'm your quintessential Malaysian. I love Nasi Lemak, sambal belacan, petai, nasi minyak, kari, masak pedas, ikan tenggiri masak sambal, teh tarik and a whole lot more. I also love cats; I have 7 at home now, and one frog named Kermit living in my bathroom. It used to live in a mop, but the mop has since been evicted.

In real life, I used to be shy, single and with the social life to rival that of a misplaced sock. At this moment in time, I am no longer all that shy and…umm, taller.
